P365: Day 10

Baked Apple Crumble
(Makes 4 servings)

3 Gala apples
3 Tablespoons dried cranberry-raisin mix
1 Tablespoon instant oats
1 Tablespoon wheat germ
1 Tablespoon cinnamon sugar
2 Tablespoons butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel and core apples, and cut into 1" chunks. In a small baking dish, toss apples and raisin mix. Add oats and wheat germ and toss to mix well. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and stir until evenly distributed. Cut butter into small cubes and dot over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until apples are desired softness. Delicious with a small scoop of ice cream and a garnish of whipped cream.

(This recipe was inspired by the perfectly delicious baked apples that we had when we visited Pittsburgh -- those were just apples, butter, and cinnamon sugar. But of course you know recipes are like speed limit signs for me -- suggestions. Sorry no pictures, but I just don't know how to photograph food.)
