This one could be called "Mrs. Godzilla Visits The Spa." (PS -- Sorry that these have been going up late. I have been forgetting to offload the pictures until I am already in bed.)

Shae's new bathing suit, that I was talking about here. I got the color story all wrong -- this is very bright, with pink and green and royal blue, and absolutely no brown -- but at least I got the aqua and the orange right! The brand is Ola Lola by Azul Kids, and the style is called "Orangina," and I promise that if you Google this you will find NOTHING of use to you. But I got the suit at HauteLook, which is one of those online member's only dealies. Love this suit! It's even cuter in person than in the picture (trust me) and Shae will look adorbs in it. But ... her other bathing suits for the summer will NOT be orange.

P365: Day 50
This is officially the longest I've ever kept up with a New Year's resolution. YAY ME!
This is just a silly little "advertisment" that I made for our upcoming family reunion in the 1000 Islands. In July a whole bunch of us are going camping -- I KNOW! -- and my cousin and I are "executive producing" our own little version of "Survivor." It's going to be awesome, and I'm not just saying that because I am interpreting "executive producer" very loosely, in the sense of "person who stands around pointing and laughing and drinking while other people do stuff." Hey, it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it. And since I'm the "Survivor" nerd, it might as well be me.
(By the way: my favorite part of this layout is the crossed marshmallow sticks.)

They don't give us windows that open at work, because if they did, on days like today, we'd all jump out. They're calling for more snow on the weekend, whee!

All that fuzziness and crazy light? Turned out to be accidentally perfect, because she was all twitchy and awake until the Olympics Opening Ceremony ended. This is the CUTENESS OF UNSTOPPABLE EVIL ENERGY.

P365: Day 42
We briefly escaped the house to get some pizza -- we walked about 5 blocks to this place down the road. I don't even really like their pizza (I got a cheesesteak) but we needed to do something before someone went completely off the rails.
Most of the residential roads around here are an unmitigated disaster, and even the bigger "commercial" roads aren't so hot. We tromped through slush for about half the trip, until we crossed the street and walked along the sidewalk next to the park.
It's hard to take good pictures when there's this much snow -- it's hard for me, anyway, because I am still an amateur at working my camera, and it's been a long time since I've seen this much snow at one time. Fortunately, there were these ducks hanging around, posing, catching the best light of the day.

Not much happening creatively, today -- it's very "The Shining" up in here. Also, I forgot that today is my great-grandmother's birthday. Happy Birthday, Nana Agnes! I am celebrating by watching "RuPaul's Drag Race," which is one of the best shows on television, and which would have positively SCANDALIZED poor Agnes. (Which is partly why I like stuff like this -- just to be contrarian.)

Something about this picture, the view down the street with all the cars parked, reminded me of when I was a kid, so I cross-processed the picture to make it look all '70s and stuff. I like it.

Lights reflected in Manatawney Creek. This is the creek that threatens to make our house float away every time it rains for more than 10 minutes at a time. The lights are streetlights and beer signs from the Ice House, the place where we get our strombolis and cheesesteaks.

A total cheat, because this picture wasn't taken today AND it wasn't taken by me. I don't know when Shae took this picture, but I just offloaded it today. It fascinates me because I can't imagine what she was trying to do here -- actually take a picture of the ceiling fan light? And how did she get the rainbow? The mind, she boggles.
Good news, though: this picture did inspire me to finally change the "Shae's Shots" section of the 'riffic blog from "Coming Soon!" to actually there (right under the "Cupcake Cam" link on the sidebar). And I'll be talking about some of those pictures tomorrow.
[Ed. Note -- Because this is Shae's picture and not mine, it appears here unedited.]
